Tricia Laake incorporates a mixture of old fashioned
style with a contemporary look in her photographic art. As
a member of various professional organizations, and with more
than twenty three years of experience in fashion, glamour,
children and families her unique blend of photographic and
creative expertise has made her a much sought after photographer
in the Tampa Bay area.
Tricia truly enjoys creating beautiful portraits
of children. Whether a newborn baby or a teenager wanting to
express their new found individuality. Every child brings with
them new challenges and opportunities for creative expression
and interpretation.
People often comment on the patience Tricia
has with the children she photographs. She'll tell you - Nothing
can quite surpass the pure joy of connecting with a child and
capturing, on film, their true personality and moods. Or a
parents face the first time they view the results, revealing
the true essence of their child.

Joshua has been working along side Tricia and Laake Portrait Gallery for over three years.
He is a professional digital retouch artist whose been channeling and expanding his creativity for over five years.
Joshua holds both a Bachelor's Degree in Digital Art and Technology as well as an Associates Degree in Digital Photography. His deep respect
and growing appreciation for the art of portraiture has lead him on a wonderful journey of artistic exploration eventually leading to his own
desire of being behind the lens. Often referred to as a "digital magician", Joshua wears more than one hat at Laake Portrait - from
occasionally assisting Tricia on Portrait sittings at the studio to editing images to framing and post-produciton, Joshua is a one-man show
eagerly contributing to the entire creation process of what will be your cherished family portraits created by Laake Portrait Gallery.
You see, the portrait sessions are only a portion
of the creative side to Laake Portrait Gallery. The Photoshop
editing we do takes three times longer than the actual photo
shoot. This is where our photographic artists can really get
creative. Magical things happen in that editing department.
Most of it happens before the client ever sees the end results.
Sure, you can go to the mall and have a picture
done of your children for a fraction of the cost. But, these
images will never portray your child's true personality. Only
through years of dedication and professional training can a
photographer develop the photographic skills necessary to create
fine children's portraiture. Tricia, Cheryl, and Amaris together,
have been able to combine their artistic and technical skills
to develop a very recognizable style of children's portraiture.
So, before your child grows up and disappears
into an adult forever, take the opportunity to have your child
photographed by a very gifted and talented photographic team.
Together, with the help of our clients we are sure we can design
and create that special portrait you have always wanted.
